Warning to the Rich
James 5:1-6
1 Come now, you rich, weep and wail over your impending miseries.
2 Your wealth has rotted away, your clothes have become moth-eaten, 3 your gold and silver have corroded, and that corrosion will be a testimony against you; it will devour your flesh like a fire. You have stored up treasure for the last days.
4 Behold, the wages you withheld from the workers who harvested your fields are crying aloud, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.
5 You have lived on earth in luxury and pleasure; you have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned; you have murdered the righteous one; he offers you no resistance.
They made kings, but not through me. They set up princes, but without my knowledge. With their silver and gold they made idols for their own destruction. (Hosea 8:4)

Crush the heads of the rulers of the enemy, who say, "There is no one but ourselves" (Sirach 36:10).
Wealth and riches can be used to influence and manipulate people for their own vested interests. Those who chose this wrong path may enjoy the fame and popularity for a short while but the Lord tells us that sooner or later, they will meet their own destruction. Love and respect that is bought and not earned through honest to goodness relationships are bound to fail. Relationships are built with God as its center and not you.
I am about to take the delight of your eyes away from you at a stroke (Ezekiel 24:16). So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died (Ezekiel 24:16). Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet (1 Corinthians 15:24 - 25).
For God has put all things in subjection under his feet (1 Corinthians 15:27).
Everything in this world belongs to the Lord and we are just made stewards of His resources. We should use such resources not for our own vested interest but for the glory of God!
Lord, be a part of anything I do otherwise all will only be turned into waste and in vain.
